Woke leftists furious at Shane Gillis, emphasizing yet again that they have no sense of humor

Comedian Shane Gillis has come under heavy fire from woke leftists over his monologue on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, particularly for a bit he did on modern gym culture.
Gillis opened the monologue making fun of himself for being overweight and poking fun at his misadventures trying to lose weight. Then came the joke that triggered the woke mob, which has spent the last three days thrusting their pitchforks in the air, calling for Gillis to be canceled -- and proving once again they have no sense of humor.
“I haven’t been to the gym in so long, I didn’t know women just dress like whores now? I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe. Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. The shorts. Have you seen the shorts? Those neon -- they're like artificial bait colored. And the wrinkles, the wrinkles go like around the cheeks and all combined at the butthole. And don't look. You're not allowed to look. For real -- don't look because they are filming. I'm in the background of like 10 TikToks right now."
An avalanche of outrage ensued, with most of the people lashing out demonstrating that they didn't even understand the joke and falsely accusing Gillis of calling all women whores. Among the loudest of Gillis' critics was Schitt’s Creek actor Dan. "I’m speechless that something like that can exist on live national television," Levy whined in an Instagram post, adding, "Women wearing short shorts at the gym does not make them whores."
Many quasi-celebrities piled on with some similar version of the talking point distributed by Levy, including, Maren Morris, Flavor Flav, Maggie Baird, Jewel, Lisa Loeb, and Kristin Chenoweth. A USA Today columnist declared Gillis had "degraded women" and insisted "Gillis is not funny." An a former SNL cast member, who many might think would have a sense of humor, posted on social media in an attempt to mock Gillis, but revealed only that she too didn't get the joke.
There were a few high-profile people who defended Gillis' comedy bit. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce reportedly said he enjoyed Gillis' monologue. And New York Post columnist Kirsten Fleming said Gillis' observation about gyms was "correct" before she slammed the outrage mob calling for his cancellation.
Gillis, of course, has had an interesting history with the show, which was once celebrated for its edgy and irreverent humor but had become heavily watered down, particularly at the height of the woke era. It was at the height of the woke era that Gillis was hired to be a writer on SNL and then immediately fired over some edgy tweets he'd posted years earlier.
Below, watch Gillis' full monologue and decide for yourself -- then let us know in the comments what you think.
