Top DSA official unleashes communist fever dream during interview on Fox News

A high-ranking official from the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) appeared on Fox News and publicly confirmed the group's radical plans to not just hijack the Democrat party, but to dramatically change several foundational elements of the United States of America.

Megan Romer, the DSA's co-chair, appeared for an interview with Shannon Bream on Fox News Sunday and was grilled about the faction's policies and plans, including shocking changes such as abolishing the U.S. Senate, and replacing the office of the U.S. president as well as doing away with the Supreme Court. 

Romer said the Senate is "an anachronistic institution," and bemoaned the fact that it was inspired by "the British House of Lords." 

"The Senate was part of the system that was made to make sure that the people didn't have too much of a say. So we want to expand Congress significantly, but make it a unicameral legislature," Romer said. And that's not the only foundational institution the DSA wants to do away with. When Bream asked whether the DSA truly wants to replace the presidency and the Supreme Court, Romer's response was: "Yep."

Romer went on to confirm that the DSA has defunding the Pentagon on its hit list, as well as abolishing ICE and eliminating national borders, ending the prison system as it's been known in the U.S. and having the government take over ownership of larger corporations. The interview amounted to a communist fever dream of radicalism. 

And Romer's fever dream is certainly finding support on the far left at the moment as several self-described socialist candidates have won high profile primary races in recent weeks and recent polling shows 52% of Democrats have a favorable view of socialism. But that same recent polling shows that the support for the socialist fever dream abruptly ends with Democrats as 77% of independent voters have an unfavorable view of socialism.
