Six American soldiers have been killed in action since military attacks against Iran began on Saturday, the Department of War has announced. All of the fallen soldiers were killed by a retaliatory drone strike in Kuwait in the opening hours of the joint U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran. The U.S. service members killed range in age from 20 to 54 years old.

All of those killed died when an Iranian drone struck Shuaiba port in Kuwait, on Sunday, March 1. The port is used both as a commercial harbor and a staging area for the U.S. military to coordinate logistics and store equipment. On Wednesday, the military initially identified four of the troops who died in the attack.

Capt. Cody Khork, 35, of Lakeland, Florida, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Sgt. Declan Coady, 20, of Des Moines, Iowa, were the first four fallen troops to be identified

“We honor our fallen Heroes, who served fearlessly and selflessly in defense of our nation. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifices of their families, will never be forgotten,” Lt. Gen. Robert Harter, the Chief of the Army Reserve said in a statement

Late Wednesday evening, the Department of War identified the remaining two service members killed in Kuwait -- Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien, 45, of Indianola, Iowa, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert Marzan, 54, of Sacramento, California, both died in the same attack as the other four service members.

Family members of the fallen soldiers have paid tribute to their lost relatives, and some have set up GoFundMe campaigns. The campaign set up for 20-year-old Declan Coady had drawn $100,000 in donations as of Thursday morning. Another GoFundMe campaign set up for 35-year-old Cody Khork had raised more than $20,000 in donations. The GoFundMe for Noah Tietjens, 42, had drawn more than $30,000 in donations, and the campaign for 39-year-old Nicole Amor had also generated more than $30,000 as of Thursday.

At least 18 other service members were wounded in the Kuwait drone attack. Trump has warned Americans that more casualties, including fatalities, are likely in the conflict.
