Kamala Harris word salads now actually putting people to sleep

Some say failed presidential candidate and former Vice President Kamala Harris' act at speaking engagements has become a little tired. For one man, listening to her speak this week at a gala just made him tired, and he fell asleep, cellphone video shows.

Harris was speaking at Public Counsel Awards Dinner in a ballroom at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, where she was being honored with the William O. Douglas Award. The former VP was presented with the award by actress Uzo Aduba, who then interviewed Harris onstage. A video clip obtained by TMZ showed Harris in deep on one of her lectures, which have become known colloquially as word salads, discussing how people should "challenge the status quo and fight the system."

Although Aduba seemed riveted by Harris' remarks, the saxophone player for the band, which was seated onstage and providing entertainment throughout the gala, had a decidedly different reaction. He was out cold, the video showed. His eyes were closed as he napped during the former vice president's comments. Moments earlier, the sax player was seen wide awake, belting out a tune.

According to TMZ, he eventually woke up and shook off the grogginess enough to play Harris off the stage. The Public Counsel is a left-leaning law firm. Below, watch the video of the unidentified sax player catching some Zs.
