Former first lady Jill Biden continued making the rounds on her book tour Tuesday with a visit to The View, where she inadvertently said she's "not a doctor" during a discussion about her husband's cognitive abilities.

Biden had famously been called on to drop the title "doctor" from her name by a columnist writing an op-ed in The Wall Street Journal days before her husband took the Oath of Office in 2021 and she became first lady. She holds a doctorate in education. At the time, Joseph Epstein, who wrote the column, contended that her use of the title "sounds and feels fraudulent, not to say a touch comic."

Which made Tuesday's awkward admission on The View all the more comical. The co-hosts were discussing Joe Biden's fading mental capacity throughout his lone term as president, and questioned her as to whether she ever advised her husband to give up running for re-election.

"But the doctors told me he was fine. I’m not a doctor," Biden responded, before quickly catching herself. "I mean, I am a doctor!" she declared, before breaking into laughter.

The former first lady also admitted that Joe Biden would've been unable to finish another term had in stayed in the race and gone on to win the 2024 election, which she adamantly believes he would've done. Biden would've left office at the age of 86 had he been elected to and was able to finish a second term.

"Not with what I know now," Jill Biden said, adding that her husband's prostate cancer diagnosis "was so shocking." In the book, she wrote that there were signs of her husband's failing health. According to The Wall Street Journal, Joe Biden, in his final year in office, woke up to use the bathroom seven times during at least one night, interrupting his sleep. Jill Biden admits in the book she recognized it as a sign of a potential prostate problem and reported it to his doctor.

Below, watch a clip of her explaining her behavior onstage in 2024 after after her husband's infamous debate debacle.
