Hillary Clinton goes on Trump-bashing bender, compares Trump to Saddam Hussein

Former first lady and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton went on a Trump-bashing binge during a recent podcast appearance, comparing President Trump to Saddam Hussein at one point. 

Clinton's anti-Trump tirade came on the Pivot podcast hosted by Kara Swisher during a discussion where she continued to vent her animosity at the president over her 2016 loss to him in the presidential election.

Early on in the conversation while discussing some of the measures Trump has taken to improve landmarks in Washington, D.C., and build new ones, Clinton predicted the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool "is not going to be fixed by the time he leaves, assuming he leaves," and said the planned Triumphal Arch would need to be taken down once Trump is out of office.

Swisher then said Trump "feels like Saddam Hussien," the late former dictator of Iraq. Clinton agreed.

"You know, I was in Baghdad after the fall of Saddam Hussein. I had meetings -- I was then a senator -- I had meetings in some of his palaces and they were quite reminiscent of what we are seeing in our own White House. It's just insane," Clinton said. She couldn't hold back, adding, "It's sad to me. It's sad that it's so tackied up and it's a reflection of, you know, his narcissistic personality and his need to feel important, including sticking gold embellishments all over the walls of the Oval Office."

Clinton made no mention of her husband's infamous dalliances with a White House intern in the Oval Office, or the fact that as a senator she voted in favor of invading Iraq based on erroneous intelligence that Hussien had weapons of mass destruction -- a vote that haunted her during the 2016 election cycle. 

The conversation was peppered with complaints about Trump. At one point, Clinton admitted she still obsesses over her loss to Trump in 2016, admitting, "I've thought about that a hundred times, as you might guess," and suggesting that Trump would seek a third term in office.
