Harris goes on wild rant, calling Trump 'most corrupt' president, and saying he was 'pulled into' Iran war by Netanyahu

Former Vice President and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris went scorched earth against Donald Trump in a speech over the weekend in Michigan, unleashing a host of allegations against her opponent in the 2024 election and accusing him of being the "most corrupt" president ever. President Trump on Monday reiterated that Israel did not sway him into attacking Iran.

Harris was a keynote speaker over the weekend at the Michigan Democratic Party Women's Caucus Legacy Luncheon in Detroit, and she marched out almost all of the Democrats' current anti-Trump talking points in what turned out to be an approximately 20-minute screed against the president. She was among several other Democrat politicians who are testing the waters for a possible 2028 White House run who appeared at the event.

In an accusation that will feel familiar to Tucker Carlson fans, Harris insisted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu forced Trump into attacking Iran.

"He entered a war -- got pulled into it by Bibi Netanyahu, let's be clear about that -- that the American people do not want, putting at risk American service members, and, among the many consequences of it, it includes jacking up the cost of gas," Harris said.

Trump on Monday said in a post on Truth Social, "Israel never talked me into the war with Iran." He als said that "the results of Oct. 7th, added to my lifelong opinion that IRAN CAN NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON."

Trump didn't indicate if he was responding to Harris's claims over the weekend, but he broadly criticized Democrats and the mainstream media for pushing a narrative that the U.S. effort to prevent Iran from developing a nuclear weapon was failing.

"Just like the results in Venezuela, which the media doesn’t like talking about, the results in Iran will be amazing -- And if Iran’s new leaders (Regime Change!) are smart, Iran can have a great and prosperous future!" the president said.

The remarks by Harris came days after she posted a lackluster video on social media in which she complained about gas prices that have risen since the start of the war. She, however, neglected to mention that gas prices were far higher under the Biden administration.

In addition to blaming the Israeli prime minister for the U.S. involvement in the Iran war, Harris also accused Trump of using the war to distract from the Epstein files. "Let's understand that it is also, as he is wont to do, and has always been, his feeble attempt to distract from the Epstein files. Okay."

Harris, who at points looked as though she was struggling to regurgitate all of the talking points precisely as scripted and verged on her signature word salads, went on to demean Trump as "insecure" and recounted having met with many world leaders during her time as vice president.

"We are dealing with the most corrupt, callous and incompetent presidential administration in the history of the United States. Period," the former VP declared.

Harris was interviewed by state Senator Sarah Anthony, according to the local news website MLive, who at no point questioned Harris on any of the inflammatory claims she made about the president, or brought up the fact that she ran for president in 2024 after completely circumventing the nomination process.

Below, watch a clip of Harris' remarks.
