Goose eggs: Broadcast TV news networks run zero stories on Democrats' fundraising scandal

Despite having had a week to cover the story, all three major mainstream broadcast TV network news programs have yet to cover a fundraising scandal with Democrats' ActBlue political action committee, according to researchers at the Media Research Center (MRC).

A recent investigation by House Republicans revealed that there's evidence suggesting that ActBlue has been taking funds from foreign donors, which would be a campaign fundraising violation. The growing scandal has been heavily covered by Fox News, which broke the story last week. But there's been no mention of the findings on any of the other three major TV network broadcasts. 

Researchers at the MRC, who track liberal media bias, pored over every edition of the news networks' evening broadcasts as well as morning shows and found that the ActBlue story received zero coverage at all. The researchers found not even one second of air time has been devoted to the story and the term ActBlue has not been mentioned once since the story broke on September 16. 

House Republicans called 10 ActBlue employees or board members to testify at a hearing on Capitol Hill in recent days, and every one of them invoked the Fifth Amendment right to remain silent, which led House Speaker Mike Johnson to say, "We’ve exposed their fraud and are fighting to hold officials accountable and secure our elections."
