Feds break up another assassination threat against Trump, indict 36-year-old Alabama woman

Federal authorities say they've foiled another assassination threat against President Donald Trump, the second case of a suspect being arrested and charged this month.
On October 5, the Secret Service, FBI and local police in Alabama worked together and arrested Megan Lorraine Utz, 36, of Lauderdale County. Utz's arrest was made after she made threatening posts on Facebook about Trump attending a college football game between Alabama and Georgia in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on October 10, 2026, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Alabama said in a statement.
"He's not allowed in my stadium," Utz wrote on Facebook, according to a screenshot of the message obtained by ABC News, five days before the president was scheduled to appear at the matchup. “I’ll put a bullet through him if he dares.”
Utz made the posts under an alias: Kase Utz. FBI investigators discovered a video on TikTok showing Utz at the 2025 edition of the the game and deemed the threat against Trump credible. Trump never made it to the game because of bad weather.
Utz is charged with threatening the life of the President of the United States as well as making threatening communications.

According to local reports, she was arrested after police chased her on foot as she tried to avoid being apprehended. Under questioning from authorities, Utz reportedly blamed the posts on a history of concussions, then changed her story and said her phone was taken over by malware. The FBI seized her iPhone and sent it to a lab for forensic examination.
“Threats of violence are taken seriously, and we are committed to protecting the safety of our nation’s leaders,” said U.S. Attorney Phillip W. Williams Jr. “In an era in which our current President has faced multiple attempts on his life we will act swiftly to address threats such as those listed in this complaint. We commend our law enforcement partners for their swift action in identifying and apprehending the defendant. This case underscores our united front built on strong partnerships and addressing threats of public safety.”
Earlier this week, police stopped an alleged plot by a 24-year-old man in Kansas who made similar posts about threatening to shoot Trump, and writing on Facebook that he knew the location of where Trump was scheduled to appear at a campaign rally. Trump has survived multiple assassination attempts over the last two-and-a-half years. For more on the latest arrest, watch the video below.
