Investigators from the FBI raided a mansion in Beverly Hills on Tuesday in connection to the ongoing probe of disgraced former congressman and gubernatorial candidate Eric Swalwell.

"We are executing a search warrant. Court documents are sealed. No arrests are planned," an FBI spokesperson said, according to The Los Angeles Times. News footage showed FBI agents entering and leaving the mansion on Tuesday.

The mansion is owned by Stephen Cloobeck a friend -- or former friend -- of Swalwell's. The ex-congressman had been living there on and off as well as using it for political events Cloobeck kicked Swalwell out when the allegations of sexual misconduct erupted back in April.

The 64-year-old Cloobeck, a Democrat, is a heavyweight in California politics, according to The L.A. Times, and mounted his own campaign for governor, but then supported Swalwell after dropping out of the race. He amassed his wealth through a timeshare company called Diamond Resorts, which he sold for $2.2 billion. The L.A. Times reported that his mansion was also searched over the summer.

In August, FBI agents seized electronic devices from Swalwell's home in Washington, D.C., and briefly detained him at San Francisco International Airport. He's being investigated by the FBI for his conduct while in Congress, and officials in New York and California are conducting separate investigations of Swalwell, too.

Swallwell has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. In fact, one of the last things he did in the mansion raided on Tuesday before he was kicked out was to film a selfie video in which he denied the rape and sexual assault allegations that brought down his campaign and ended his career in elected office.
