Deranged NYU professor calls Elon Musk 'traitor to the West,' says he should be executed

A far-left professor from New York University lashed out at Elon Musk, saying the tech magnate is a "traitor to the West" and suggested Musk should be executed like two notorious Americans who were put to death in 1953 for espionage. 

The shocking remarks from the deranged marketing professor came at a live recording in New York City before a studio audience of the Pivot podcast he hosts with Kara Swisher.

Galloway at one point said, "We have begun believing through this ridiculous, unhealthy and dangerous idolatry of innovators that they get to live by an entirely different standard. Elon Musk is a traitor to the West.”

"We lined up the Rosenbergs against a wall," Galloway said, referring to the Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, a husband and wife put to death by electrocution in 1953 for funneling U.S. secrets to Russia. "This is a traitor to the West, and he should be held to the same standards as every other traitor in the West," Galloway said, drawing a round of enthusiastic applause from the live audience. 

Galloway has previously called Musk a traitor over the way Starlink, a satellite-based brand of highs-peed internet service, has been deployed in the Russia-Ukraine war. Musk has provided Starlink to Ukranian forces, but not to Russia, although a brief outage last month made it difficult for Ukraine to defend against Russian attacks. Musk has said the U.S. government briefly disabled Starlink, not him.

The comments underscrore the hostility leftists have for Musk, possibly the moden world's most prolific innovator, over his support of Donald Trump in 2024 and money he spent trying to help elect Republicans in the 2026 midterms. Musk also moved Tesla and SpaceX headquarters to Texas due to onerous business conditions imposed in leftist California. Galloway also said Starlink, a division of SpaceX, should be seized by the government and nationalized.
